Blagdon goes 3-for-3, Leads Cubs to Win
With designated hitter Matt Blagdon leading the charge, the South Bend Cubs defeated the Lansing Lugnuts, 11-4, at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. Blagdon went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Today's win puts South Bend at 45-64, while Lansing falls to 58-51.

Greg Chambers drove in one run for South Bend. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Leo Adams. It was his 5th RBI of the season.

"We maximized our offense today," said South Bend skipper Taylor Davis. "That makes everyone's life easier."
