Román Leads Charge, Beloit Blasts Timber Rattlers
A good performance from shortstop Arturo Román helped the Beloit Snappers defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, 13-3. Román went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Snappers. Dana Everhart picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 7-5. With the win over Wisconsin, the Snappers improved to 69-42.

Beloit used a well-timed hit by Vince Scott to capture the win. The third baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Snappers ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
