The Lake County Captains had to overcome a good performance from Lansing pitcher Leo Adams to claim a 3-1 win at Classic Park. Adams went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Jeff García in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Dan McLeod took the loss. Lake County is now 61-53.
Lake County took a 3-1 lead on Rob Brooks's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Brooks hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lansing pitcher Dan McLeod visibly frustrated.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Brooks told the Lake County Citizen.
