Behind a solid performance from right fielder Ed McCarthy, the Dayton Dragons defeated the Lansing Lugnuts, 9-6. McCarthy was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Dragons. The Dragons win now puts them at 48-66.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Dragons grabbed the lead when McCarthy hit his 17th double of the season. The 2-run double off Kevin Carlton made it 5-3, Dayton.
