Reliever of the Year Goes to Johnson

He may only be 25, but Brad Johnson of the Norfolk Tides has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the International League.

The reliever was today named the IL Reliever of the Year winner for 2025.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 7 saves in 40 relief appearances and 72 strikeouts in 79 innings. He had a record of 4-3 to go with his 2.39 ERA.

He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 14. Miguel Lara of the Norfolk Tides finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Bob Brooks of the Louisville Bats finished third.
