What does it take to win the Outstanding Pitcher Award?

Just ask Ben Brown of the Indianapolis Arrows -- the latest International League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.

"My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations for what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career."

The Arrows pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 12 games and losing only 9. In 27 starts, Brown registered a 2.19 ERA and limited other clubs to a .233 batting average. He fanned 143 in 188.2 innings and issued 56 walks.

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 14. Brad Woodward of the Norfolk Tides finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Jim Acosta of the Columbus Clippers finished third.
