Season-Ending Injury for Carey Wednesday, May 13th , 2026 Doug Carey had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Gwinnett medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Gwinnett starting pitcher suffered a damaged elbow ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. In 7 starts this year, Carey has fashioned a 4-2 record and a 4.32 ERA. |
