Gwinnett Comes up Empty Against Gil
Saturday, May 30th , 2026
Today was Luis Gil's turn in the rotation for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and he made the most of it, shutting out the Gwinnett Hammers on 4 hits.
The 27-year-old right-hander led the IronPigs to an easy 6-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 8 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Gwinnett manager Ron Warner said. "Gil certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
On the season, Gil has a 5-4 record with a 2.92 ERA.
