Kimball's Condition Worse, Suffers Another Setback Saturday, August 1st , 2026 Spike Kimball's return to the Toledo Mud Hens has been delayed. The 24-year-old starting pitcher has been in treatment for a sore back and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Kimball will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least one week. In 22 starts this season, Kimball has compiled a 11-3 record and a 2.34 ERA. |
