Brown Strokes 5 Hits Tuesday, August 11th , 2026 Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Thad Brown walloped 5 hits in 7 at-bats for the Indianapolis Arrows in a career day at Coolray Field, but it was the Gwinnett Hammers who won the ballgame, 5-4. "My swing was really, really there," Brown said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-7 and losing is better than 0-for-7 and losing, right?" Thad Brown doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 9th, hit an RBI triple in the 10th and grounded out in the 13th.
