Friday, August 29th , 2025
Magic was in the air and on the mound at Smith's Ballpark, as Octávio Rangel held the El Paso Chihuahuas spellbound in his 1-0 shutout victory. The Salt Lake Bees pitcher went the distance, rang up 11 strikeouts, walked 1, and held the Chihuahuas to 4 hits.
"He just had us in his thrall," El Paso manager Andy Hayes said. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
So far this season, Rangel has 11 wins and 9 losses and a 3.81 ERA.
