Hit Streak Now at 20 for Álvarez

The hitting streak for Reno first baseman Luis Álvarez now stands at 20 games, but the Aces dropped today's contest 3-2 to the Tacoma Rainiers. Álvarez went 2-for-3 in the game.
"Things went well for me personally," he said. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Luis Álvarez hit a two-run home run off Norberto Martínez in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season, Álvarez is hitting .467 with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 7 hits in 15 at-bats and a .474 OBP.
