Tacoma Halts Álvarez's Hitting Steak Friday, April 17th , 2026 Luis Álvarez's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 20 games, as the Reno Aces dropped their contest with the Tacoma Rainiers, 17-5, at Cheney Stadium. Álvarez failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-5. After the game Álvarez spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said.
