Thompson Week's #1 Player Monday, August 3rd , 2026 New Orleans fans have something to crow about today as New Orleans first baseman Terence Thompson nabbed the American Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Thompson. He posted a .514 average (18-for-35) this past week with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. This season, Thompson is hitting at a .350 pace with 8 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 45 times. |
