Player of the Week: Sacramento's Wood Monday, August 3rd , 2026 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jerry Wood was in a class by himself in the Pacific Conference this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding center fielder for Sacramento tagged opposing pitchers for a .480 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 1 homers, 7 runs scored and 6 RBIs.
