Jimmy Smith Blanks Round Rock, 5-0 Tuesday, August 4th , 2026 The Round Rock Express were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the Tacoma Rainiers and hurler Jimmy Smith. Smith kept the Express confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Smith," Round Rock manager Ben Petrick said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 24-year-old right-hander had 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Smith said.
