Player of the Week: Portland's Diharce Monday, August 11th , 2025 Portland fans have something to crow about today as Portland shortstop Raúl Diharce nabbed the Eastern League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Diharce. He posted a .476 average (10-for-21) this past week with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. So far this year in 59 games, Diharce is hitting .323 with 4 home runs, 28 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
