It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Jerry Cook of the Binghamton Mets. Cook went on a tear at NYSEG Stadium and cracked hit after hit off Trenton pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 26-year-old first baseman had a career 5-for-8 day and something he will long remember.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.

Despite Cook's personal accolades, the Trenton Thunder walked off the field with the 6-5 win.

Jerry Cook grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, singled in the 10th, tripled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.

Cook is hitting .600 this season with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 25 at-bats.
