Kennedy Sends Harrisburg Bats to Deep Freeze
Thursday, May 21st , 2026
In a seemingly effortless performance, Eric Kennedy of the Akron RubberDucks shot down the Harrisburg Senators, 9-0, on 6 hits.
"Eric was just locating so well and using his pitches," Akron manager Keith Johnson said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Kennedy recorded 12 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Harrisburg manager Joe Mikulik said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
To date, Kennedy has a 4-2 mark in 8 starts with a 2.35 ERA. He has given up 53 hits in 57.1 innings, struck out 55 and issued 14 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .241 batting average against him.
