Big Day for Bowers: Swats 5 Hits Sunday, July 12th , 2026 The Trenton Thunder stopped the Harrisburg Senators by a score of 5-4 at Arm & Hammer Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Randy Bowers. The 24-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Bowers said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Bowers did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Senators. "Not much that I can say," offered Harrisburg manager Joe Mikulik. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Randy Bowers flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
