EL's Star Player Named Monday, August 24th , 2026 Harrisburg fans have something to crow about today as Harrisburg catcher Steve Adams nabbed the Eastern League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Adams. He posted a .471 average (8-for-17) this past week with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. So far this season, Adams is hitting .321 with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 87 hits in 271 at-bats and a .372 OBP. |
