Super Swinger -- Jackson Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, August 26th , 2026 It seemed New Britain Rock Cats shortstop Kevin Jackson could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The Rock Cats fell against the Trenton Thunder by the score of 12-11. Jackson did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but in the end, Trenton prevailed at New Britain Stadium. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Jackson said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Kevin Jackson walked in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 10th and flied out in the 11th.
