Ross 5-for-8 for Suns

Jacksonville second baseman Lonnie Ross had a big day at Hank Aaron Stadium against the Mobile BayBears. The 23-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-8 and led to the 15-9 Suns triumph over Mobile.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Ross said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
Lonnie Ross singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and grounded out in the 11th.
