Trejo Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games
Friday, May 22nd , 2026
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Jesús Trejo did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at The Ballpark at Jackson. For the last 20 games in a row, the 23-year-old shortstop has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Jackson Generals beat the Tennessee Smokies, 12-2.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Trejo told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Jackson clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jesús Trejo hit a three-run home run off Dimitri Nedelec in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Dimitri Nedelec in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th and struck out in the 8th.
This season, Trejo is batting .353 with 6 home runs. His totals include 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
