Injury Shuts Down Sargent for Season Saturday, June 27th , 2026 Ron Sargent had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Biloxi medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Biloxi starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. Sargent has fashioned a 2-9 mark for the season, 4.89 ERA and thrown 73.2 innings in 15 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .304 against him. |
