Springfield-Midland Fight Results in Suspensions Friday, July 4th , 2025 After an intense confrontation, both the Cardinals Augusto Velasco and the RockHounds José Romero were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Springfield-Midland game. Augusto Velasco will miss 4 games, while José Romero was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Augusto Velasco commented later.
