Week's #1 Player: Frisco's Martínez Monday, May 25th , 2026 23-year-old Tony Martínez made a few Frisco headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Texas League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 16 hits in 29 at-bats to put up a .552 average. Martínez collected no home runs, 3 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This season in 33 games, Martínez has hit at a .370 clip with 47 hits, 2 home runs, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored. |
