Cristián Fernández Wins TEX Trophy Monday, June 29th , 2026 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Texas League, but last week Cristián Fernández of the Midland RockHounds reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Fernández rocked opposing pitching for a .571 average (12-for-21), 2 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. Fernández is hitting .338 this year with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .394, 6 walks and scored 9 times. |
