Northwest Arkansas-Corpus Christi Brawl, Barton and Esparza Suspended Thursday, July 9th , 2026 Ed Barton of Northwest Arkansas and Orlando Esparza of Corpus Christi were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Barton will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Esparza was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. Currently Barton is batting .288 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 34 runs scored. On the season, Esparza has 1 win and 6 losses and a 6.28 ERA. |
