Texas League Selects July's Best Batter Saturday, August 1st , 2026 Today Josh Burkett was voted Texas League Batter of the Month for August. During the month the 28-year-old Corpus Christi first baseman compiled a .441 batting average. Most importantly for the Hooks though, he also posted 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. This year, Burkett is batting .333 with 16 home runs. |
