Lake Elsinore Comes up Empty Against Morrison Friday, August 8th , 2025 Mal Morrison bent a little, but he didn't break against the Lake Elsinore Storm. The Lancaster JetHawks pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 11-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 3 walks and tallying 10 strikeouts. "Mal is good at getting out of jams," JetHawks manager George Lombard told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." Up to now Morrison has compiled an ERA of 3.47 with a 9-5 mark over 23 starts. He has 126 strikeouts in 127 innings and has held opponents to a .265 batting average. View Boxscore |
