High Desert Loses Hernández for Season Tuesday, September 2nd , 2025 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the High Desert Mavericks: starting pitcher José Hernández is out for the year. Hernández suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow on 08/31/2025. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. Hernández has a 1-2 season record so far. In 10 starts, he has fanned 32 batters in 41.1 innings with a 7.19 ERA. |
