Seals Torches Rawhide for 5 Hits
Friday, April 17th , 2026
San Jose Giants right fielder Sean Seals had a day to remember at Recreation Park, ripping apart the Visalia Rawhide and sparking the 13-0 Giants win.
Seals wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Seals told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Sean Seals hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ed Norton in the 4th, hit a sac fly in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jake Lewis in the 9th.
This season, Seals is batting .333 with 8 hits, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, .346 OBP and has scored 4 runs.
