Palmer Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, May 29th , 2026 Ernie Palmer's hitting streak is becoming the talk of San Jose. The 21-year-old shortstop extended it once again, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-3 performance against the High Desert Mavericks. The Giants won the game, 8-1. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Ernie Palmer struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. In the 2026 season Palmer is hitting .348 with 6 home runs. |
