Hit Streak Now at 20 for Elliott Monday, June 8th , 2026 Win or lose, Joe Elliott just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The High Desert Mavericks first baseman went 2-for-3, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 5-3, by the Lake Elsinore Storm at Stater Bros. Stadium. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Joe Elliott walked in the 1st, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In this current campaign Elliott is hitting at a .351 clip with 6 home runs and 31 RBIs. |
