García Goes on Rampage Against Red Sox Monday, July 14th , 2025 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Potomac's Ernesto García made it happen against the Red Sox. Everything came together at the plate for the 24-year-old center fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Nationals triumph, 6-5, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," García said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Ernesto García walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th.
