Jacobs Shuts Out Myrtle Beach

Ed Jacobs of the Lynchburg Hillcats humiliated the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at Ed Smith Stadium, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 3 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Myrtle Beach manager Jose Lobaton, after the game.
Jacobs whiffed 8 and walked 3 in the 11-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Jacobs said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
Currently Jacobs has a 4-4 won-lost record in 12 starts with a 5.57 ERA. He also has 33 strikeouts in 63 innings.
