Myrtle Beach's Menéndez Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, May 25th , 2026 Israel Menéndez went on a hitting spree last week against Carolina League pitchers and today copped the Player of the Week Award. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans center fielder peppered the opposition with 12 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored. In the last 7 games he hit .444 with an on-base percentage of .559. This season, Menéndez has hit at a .259 clip and produced 17 RBI, no home runs and 22 runs. |
