But for now the young Myrtle Beach Pelicans star can enjoy the numbers he put up in July, which have garnered him the nod as the Carolina League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .327 average with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 20 runs scored. McDonald is hitting .259 for the season with 15 home runs, 49 RBIs and 40 runs scored.
