Riggs CAR Choice for Best Pitcher Saturday, August 1st , 2026 Bert Riggs was pure poison coming out of the Hillcats bullpen in July. For his outstanding performance, he picked up the Carolina League Pitcher of the Month award. The Lynchburg Hillcats reliever had no saves for the month with a 4-2 record and 2.84 ERA. He made no relief appearances, hurled 44.1 innings, yielded 34 hits, fanned 38 and walked 23. Riggs's record this season is 9-and-10 with no saves and a 3.44 ERA. He has given up 134 hits in 146.2 innings with 123 strikeouts. |
