Hit Streak Now at 20 for López Monday, August 3rd , 2026 The Carolina Mudcats stopped the Frederick Keys, 3-1, and Jorge López collected a base hit yet again. The Carolina catcher finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited López told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Jorge López grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, grounded out in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th, singled in the 16th, struck out in the 18th, singled in the 20th and struck out in the 21st.
