Thomas Blisters Cedar Rapids Friday, June 26th , 2026 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Eric Thomas is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at Alliant Energy Field. The monster effort from the 20-year-old left fielder helped the Clinton LumberKings get the win, 11-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Kernels manager Bobby Chouinard. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Eric Thomas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
