Season-Ending Injury for Emerson Wednesday, August 12th , 2026 Joe Emerson, the West Michigan reliever, was less than thrilled to learn that his recent injury would keep him out of the rest of the season and any postseason action. "The playoffs?" he said. "Are you kidding me? The playoffs?" Emerson has a stretched elbow ligament, an injury that has hampered him since 08/08/2026. So far this season, Emerson has a 7-0 won-lost record with 7 saves.
