Zapata Tabbed as August's Starter of the Month Tuesday, September 1st , 2026 When Juan Zapata takes the hill, there's a good chance for a Beloit victory. At least that's the way it was in May. He excelled with a 4-1 mark and a 2.30 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 43 innings, fanned 47, and held enemy hitters to a .230 average. That's why the Snappers star was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Midwest League. On his stats sheet for the year Zapata shows a 12-2 record, 23 starts, 155.2 innings, 155 strikeouts and a 2.54 ERA. |
