Mariners Hernández Strikes out 16 Friday, August 1st , 2025 Seattle (AZL) Mariners starter Arturo Hernández brought his best stuff to Peoria Sports Complex against the Kansas City (AZL) Royals, striking out 16 batters in his club's 10-2 victory. In a strong performance, the 19-year-old Hernández gave up 6 hits in his 8.2 innings of work and issued 2 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me."
