Webb Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, August 23rd , 2025 The Kansas City (AZL) Royals may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 9-5, to the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers, but Dan Webb continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Webb is playing great and is on fire right now," Royals manager Craig Stammen said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Webb was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Dan Webb grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Webb with 10 home runs, .313 BA, .380 OBP, 46 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
