White Sox Pitching Ravaged by Rhodes Friday, August 7th , 2026 Cubs center fielder Chuck Rhodes had his way with ACL pitching at Cubs Park and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the White Sox ruined his great day by toppling the Cubs, 8-6. "I had a great day, but you've got to give ACL credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Rhodes did today," White Sox skipper Jared Hughes said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Chuck Rhodes hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
