Rhodes Raps ACL for 5 Hits Sunday, August 9th , 2026 Chuck Rhodes put on a hitting clinic at Peoria Sports Complex, spraying hits all over the ballpark and lashing ACL pitchers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, the offensive onslaught wasn't enough for the ACL Cubs, who still fell, 1-0. "Sometimes I try to pull the ball too much, so today I just went with the pitch," Rhodes told reporters after the game. "It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Chuck Rhodes doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
