Salgado Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Wednesday, August 12th , 2026 With 2 hits at Peoria Sports Complex, Luis Salgado added another game to his hitting streak -- the ACL second baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Mariners, as they fell, 5-3, to the ACL Reds. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," ACL manager Mark Lamm said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Luis Salgado grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Salgado is currently hitting at a .423 pace with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. |
