Hit Streak for MacCaw Reaches 32 Wednesday, August 20th , 2025 The Minnesota (GCL) Twins stopped the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays, 9-7, and Dave MacCaw collected a base hit yet again. The Minnesota (GCL) second baseman finished with 4 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 32. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited MacCaw told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Dave MacCaw hit a two-run home run off Charlie Zimmerman in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. This season, MacCaw is swinging the bat at a .412 pace. He has hit 6 home runs and scored 42 times, while driving in 37. His on-base percentage is .440 and he has played in 49 games. |
